| News Archive10-01-05: We have added pictures of the Hockinson Pasture HERE for good record keeping and having a visual of how the grass was doing throughout the year. 10-03-05: We plan to make our next shippment of lambs on or around Nov. 1st. Please contact me (eric@harlowshillswestcoast.com) or 541 215 9109 to get your order place/verified. Thank you. 09-17-05: The slaughter truck came today to pick up four lambs for processing. I feel it is very important to keep things calm and quiet before, during and after the slaughter. Tony (slaughter truck operator) did a great job of handling the lambs and dispatching them quickly without upsetting them. This is very important to keep the lambs from getting stressed. I also delivered some lambs up to Newman's Custom Meats in Olympia. It was a nice sunny day and the drive only took a couple hours round-trip. These lambs are destine for clients in the Port Townsend area (Northwest of Seattle). 09-13-05: We have added a links page. We have also added an update to the paddock rotation page. 09-11-05: I put 5 ewes in with the ram today. This should bring winter lambs. We prefer to lamb in April but do lamb a few sheep in winter in order to be able to provide lambs to our clients on a more regular basis. 09-07-05: We have a load of lambs going to the processor on Sept. 17th. Get your lamb order in now if you want us to include it in this group. Contact us for details. 09-05-05: It has been a very interesting couple weeks. Our trial is over and we are almost recovered from it. The sheep are feeling great, they are currently grazing at Lynn's place. He has 50 acres of annual-Rye grass stubble that is keeping the sheep fat and happy. The sheep will move this weekend to the Hockinson pasture. We recently found out our preferred lamb processor had a fire. Luckily, nobody was injured but he is out of business for the next few months. We have made arrangements with Wards Custom Meats in Battle Ground, WA. 09-01-05: We have posted pictures from the trial HERE. Enjoy. 08-30-05: Our first trial is behind us and what a trial it was. We would like to thank everyone who made it to the trial. We have posted the results HERE. The sheep are now resting and fattening up for winter. 08-04-05: All the entries are in. We are currently at about 55 runs. We will do the draw next week and release it to the public soon there after. 07-23-05: Last day to send in your entries for the Harlow's Hills Sheepdog Trail. Enjoy. 12-01-05: Please take a look at our 2005 Lambing. 11-26-05: We had a great Thanksgiving as I am sure you all did. We are moving forward with our plan to produce and market cuts of Natural Lamb as well as selling live-lambs (on the hoof). We hope to be able to provide sales directly over the Internet (mail order) very soon. 11-11-05: We recently added an investors page for those who may be interested in supporting the Grass-fed, Natural lamb movement. This is a very exciting time indeed. 11-10-05: We have begun our search for a new ranch and lease-graze in Eastern Oregon. This move should allow us to increase our flock to 900 ewes. 10-31-05: Happy Halloween.
