2007 Sheep-Work ScheduleThe following is an approximate schedule of our 2007 Sheep-Work. Please let me know if you would like to lend us a hand for any of the dates listed below. This would be a great opportunity to get some great work on your dog if you have one. Click HERE to email me.11-10-07: Shearing starts. Should last for 7 days. Lots of dog work to be done. And people work. Let me know if you are interested in helping out. Please contact me: eric@harlowshillswestcoast.com 541 215 9109 10-25-07: Truck remaining ewes to grass-circles. 10-25-07: Vaccinate ewes for Verbroses. 09-18-07: Put in leased rams for breeding. 09-01-07: Put rams in with ewes for breeding. 09-01-07: Move replacement ewe-lambs off to irrigated pasture for breeding. 08-20-07: Introduce teaser rams. 08-18-07: Move ewes off the Mountain. 08-17-07: Move lambs off the Mountain. 03-06-07: Vaccinate for sore-mouth. 03-15-07: Trail ewes w/new lambs to stubble. Move the ewes and lambs down the road about 2 miles to the new wheat stubble. 03-23-07: Truck out of Lambing Camp. Truck the ewes and lambs held back in lambing camp up to Randy's stubble. 03-26-07: Clean-up lambing Camp. Prepare the lambing camp for next year. 04-15-07: Mark Lambs. We will be banding, vaccinating and tagging lambs. 05-01-07: Crutch ewes. We will be shearing the bellies and behinds of the ewes to guard against fly-strike. 05-15-07: Trail ewes and lambs onto Austrian peas. 07-01-07: Truck lambs down to peas-crop residue. 07-20-07: Move ewes onto new stubble. |
